Psychotherapy is an opportunity to discuss, understand, and discover aspects of one's self and how one thinks and feels with another person. Through this process growth can occur. This growth may allow for more internal freedom to experience oneself, others, and the world in a more meaningful way. The process of learning from experience in psychotherapy is highly idiosyncratic. The relationship that can foster personal development must try to understand the individual and the individual in relationship. In working with clients, my attention and interest is in understanding how to develop a relationship by which clients may gain greater internal resources from which to draw in their daily lives.
